Alzheimers Eastern Bay of Plenty focus on improving quality of life for the families living with dementia and providing support for the person affected.
The aim of Alzheimers Eastern Bay of Plenty is to help people make the most of their lives, to provide coping strategies, time out and education to enable safe and supported living at home, for as long as is possible.
Dementia is a very isolating disease both for the patient and the carer. Alzheimers Eastern Bay of Plenty work with trained volunteers and paid support staff to provide advice, options, and a network of services.
They provide community-based support and care across every district in the Eastern Bay, from Pikowai to Lottin Point, including Te Teko, Galatea, Murupara, Kawerau, Edgecumbe, Matata, Taneatua, Otakiri, Waiotahe, Waiohou, Awakeri, Minginui, Te Whaiti, Tirohonga, Te Kaha,and Omaio.
This fund welcomes donations from individuals and families who want to 'make a difference', providing resources to assist those living and working with dementia sufferers every day.
