Giving back to the community you grew up in and love.

The Eastern Bay of Plenty has a way of staying with people. Its uniqueness, its people, and even when life leads elsewhere, that sense of belonging doesn’t disappear.

For Ross, and his wife Josephine, Opotiki is an inseparable part of their story.

From growing up in Opotiki, Ross grew a feeling of gratitude for the experiences the region has provided him.

This inspired a commitment to give back and make a positive change to the town and the creation of the Riverside Endowment Fund.

This fund is donor directed, with a committed 10-year annual distribution going to establish a life changing mentoring programme for Opotiki College students via the Graeme Dingle Foundation and yearly local community grants, designed to create a lasting impact and support  Creative and Performance Arts, sport coaching opportunities and/or town beautification projects for Church Street, Opotiki.

The establishment of this fund marks a significant step toward giving our youth opportunities and a positive future and it demonstrates that by supporting the communities that shaped our beginnings, we contribute to their future and honour our own journey.

Giving in perpetuity through the EBCF ensures your gift has a lasting impact. Carefully invested over time, your contribution grows and continues to support the causes you care about year after year. Guided by the Foundation’s commitment to responsible stewardship, legacy, and sustainability, this form of giving aligns your wishes with the evolving needs of the community, creating a meaningful difference for generations to come.
