The Bay Education and Research Fund

This fund has been established by a gentleman who lives in the Eastern Bay of Plenty, who wants to make a difference and give an opportunity to students from the Eastern Bay of Plenty doing tertiary study. This endowment fund will also, in time, distribute towards research projects that may require a small funding boost.

This fund has been established to assist young people from the Eastern Bay of Plenty to attain University Education at Te Herenga Waka – Victoria University of Wellington and will provide an undergraduate or postgraduate scholarship.

The Scholarship application and selection process will be managed by Te Herenga Waka – Victoria University of Wellington. For more information about applying for the Scholarship click here

This fund may also distribute funding towards research projects, particularly medical research. This research funding would be via established research institutes such as The Malaghan Institute of Medical Research associated with Te Herenga Waka – Victoria University of Wellington.

As this Fund will exist in perpetuity the research funding and scholarship opportunities it provides will have a real impact on individuals and our community.

Further donations to this fund are invited to help support tertiary students from the Eastern Bay of Plenty, and research.
